The beautiful antique frame (possibly gold gilt) holds an actual word from a letter, beautifully penned by George Washington, on May 4, 1776. I interpret the word to be 'latria', meaning "adoration" or, in the Roman Catholic Church, "supreme worship allowed to God alone."
Beautiful renderings of Washington & his signature are also artfully encapsulated!
The letter of authentication is ready to be passed on to the lucky new owner of this piece of history from 1776!
