Offered is a rare original Victor “Roll a Pack” 1¢ countertop trade stimulator. Period trade advertising describes “Roll A Pack” as a counter cigarette dice game with “reel action” and a solid natural birch cabinet, marketed by Victor in 1941 in Chicago. The machine measures 12" tall, 7" wide and 7.5" deep.
How it operates: Insert a penny (1¢) and pull the red knob to cycle the mechanism; the glass-covered, three‑lane rotating drum resolves the “roll.” Trade stimulators were designed to “stimulate trade” by offering a chance-based result that the operator historically settled (rather than guaranteed vending every play).
Key identifying features present: Front decal reading “Roll a Pack,” coin slot plate marked “1¢ Victor Vending Co.,” and a circular side window. That side window is best explained as a coin/slug inspection window—a known trade-stimulator feature used to see/confirm what coin (or slug) was played.
Condition: Overall great condition, play operates correctly. There are a few scratches on the front and a hairline crack in the wood on the top of the cabinet (photographed). Please rely on photos and ask questions before purchase.
